About ColoursCube and this policy

ColoursCube is a free website where you can use color tools—pick colors, extract colors from images, convert hex/RGB/HSL, check contrast, use the color wheel, and more. You don’t need an account or sign-up. This page explains what we do (and don’t do) with information when you use our site. By using ColoursCube, you’re okay with what we describe here. We may update this page sometimes; the date at the top is when we last changed it.

No account needed

We don’t have user accounts, sign-in, or sign-up. Everything on the site works in your browser. We don’t store your color palettes or picks on our servers unless you use features that explicitly save data in your browser (e.g. the Color Library). That data stays on your device.

When you contact us

If you email us (for example at the address in our footer), we’ll receive your email address and whatever you write. We use that only to reply and to improve the site. We don’t add you to any mailing list unless you ask us to.

When you browse the site

Like most websites, our hosting and the technology we use can see basic technical data when you visit—for example your IP address, browser type, and which pages you open. We use this to run the site, fix problems, and understand how people use our tools. We don’t sell this data.

Theme and browser storage

We save your theme choice (light, dark, or system) in your browser’s local storage so it stays the same next time you visit. We don’t use this to identify you. If you clear site data or use a different device, we’ll show the default again. You can change or clear it in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (e.g. which pages are visited and how). Google may set cookies and collect data such as your IP address and device information according to Google's Privacy Policy. We use this only to improve ColoursCube. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Ads on the site

We may show ads (e.g. via Google) to help support ColoursCube. Those ad providers may set their own cookies and collect data according to their privacy policies. We don’t control that. You can manage ad preferences in your browser or through the ad provider’s settings.

How we use information

We use the information we have to run and improve ColoursCube, to answer your messages, and to meet legal requirements. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

When we share information

We may share data with companies that help us run the site (e.g. hosting, ads), under strict rules. We may also share if the law requires it or to protect our or others’ rights and safety. We may share anonymized or aggregated data that doesn’t identify you.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the data we have. No website can be 100% secure; we don’t guarantee that, but we care about keeping things safe.

Children

Our site is not aimed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think we’ve received something from a child under 13, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To ask about that or anything else here, email us at the address below. We’ll respond as required by law.

California

California residents can ask us once a year whether we’ve shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. To ask, contact us at the email below.
